Elderly in Solar Orbital Station
French version of UN security council resolutions in HTML.
Giving a common long term goal to Humanity is an utopia, yet another. Practically, it is about thinking our political choices as if we wanted to go to a nearby star, which is very far from what humanity is able to achieve:
Since I have written it down, given this aim, I spent time to find answers compared to the usual ones. From LTG (Long Term Goal), we should survive and stay active in scientific research. This last activity should be maximized, but first, let's concentrate on survival.
Part of our present and future concern come from human foot print, which is population time its consumption, and thus is directly related to overcrowding. The impact of man is also related to its geographical extend, as being too numerous should add an other floor to house instead of covering the whole garden.
Then straightforward solutions that address them, is demographic decrease and leave south of Cancer tropic as wasteland.
"I believe alien life is quite common in the universe, although intelligent life is less so. Some say it has yet to appear on planet Earth". (Stephen Hawking)
I think this idea would have pleased him :
Most of original French UN "Résolutions et décisions du Conseil de Sécurité " more or less well translated to HTML from scans.
To figure how difficult is interstellar trip, it is convenient to have hard data. Having not found many, I thought it would be a good idea to publish them for everyone to choose their favorite star and realize the enormity of the distance and speed to be achieved. Keep memory that voyager probes speed is 17 km / s, which is not so bad, but not enough to go to an other star.
I got the 50 nearest stars from wikipedia.
I heard (1) that the idea of capturing the material on the medium to propel had already been proposed by Dr. Robert Bussard in the article "Galactic Matter and Interstellar Flight" publish in 1960 (there is a good bibliography Robert Bussard on this site) with RamJet. This vessel implements the protons capture and nuclear fusion. The result produces high-energy particles that enable propulsion.
Subsequently, I dig the principle of Bussard Ramjet and focused on publications about it. Many of them state the impossibility of such a device due to an unfavorable energy balance when protons are used in fusion reaction. We can also conclude that hydrogen fusion does not give enough energy to meet the needs of interstellar travel, at least for human transportation (See here for an inventory).
Anyway, I started recklessly in equation of motion in relativistic way for this device and finish a year later with two pages of calculations, one on ideal bussard ramjet, and the other on various models bussard ramjet that introduce inefficiencies.

DWARF (Debug With Arbitrary Record Format) is the preferred format for storing debug information in the ELF executable format. It is part of most Unixies like system ABI. The information is used by debuggers, lets say GDB, to achieve the magic debugging at source level.
At the time I have writen a simple object relocation program (elf_obj_loc.c), I have found very few code dealing with Elf format with libelf and gelf. One of them was the excellent libelf by Example writen by Joseph Koshy. I hope these two libelf code example will help.
Basically rings are a small and simple C library that provides simple or double linked list. Interesting things comes with a set of preprocessor macros that take in account nodes typing to handle several issues.

One morning, like many others, I am installed in the train with my coffee. On the way to 45 minutes of peace after the subway and hallways. I prepare myself mentally to face the "20 Minuten" sudoku and crossword. If I can do them fast enough, I'll continue with those Metro that I managed to nab today. The Grand Slam ...
Just before departure, arrive two Africans. They should not have arrived for a long because they speak loud in this cozy atmosphere, especially, one of them. He asks a lot of questions and the other reply with great assurance. I start the crossword.
- .... And him ?
- Him ? it is a machine man ...
He lowers his voice suddenly on end, as if afraid to be understood and go on in his native language.
A man machine? It's me he talking about ? They are behind on other side of the corridor and I'm leaning on the newspaper. A man machine ? that's what I've become ? It is true that from their point of view, my kind of character, "salary man", it may seem unlikely.
Well, I have a new status now. Troubled, the weekend there, I tell it to Katrin. Against all odds, she like a lot I am sawn as this character. So, I reconsidered the thing and I am the machine man. Machin-man, I'm straining at the bit !
